Robot Royale (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is made by Robot Royale Games. This policy explains what information the game collects, how it is collected, why we use it, who it is shared with, how long we keep it, and how you can withdraw consent or delete it.
| Information | How it’s collected | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Account details: for Sign in with Apple, an account ID from Apple and the email Apple shares (this can be Apple’s private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email”); for email sign-in, your email address; for Google sign-in (web and Android), your Google account’s name, email and account ID | From you and the sign-in service when you sign in | To sign you in and keep your progress on your account across devices |
| Game ID, an 8-digit number made for your account | Created by our server | So support can find your account and friends can add you |
| Your robots: names, parts, paint jobs, name plates and cosmetics | From you, in the game | To run the game. Your robot’s name is how other players see you; we never show your real name, email or sign-in method |
| Game progress: coins, gems, parts, XP and levels, wins and losses, achievements, Season Road and Daily Rewards progress, rewards claimed and codes redeemed | Recorded by our server as you play | To save your progress, give rewards fairly and stop cheating |
| Match results: results, damage, knockouts and timings of battles, and Weekend Cup entries | Recorded by our server | To award XP, coins and prizes, and run leaderboards and cups |
| Online status while you’re online: your robot’s name, level and record | From the game while it’s open | So friends and other players can see who is online, challenge you or watch your battles (you can turn off “Let friends & crew watch me” in Settings) |
| Friends and Crews: your friends list, friend requests, your crew, crew role and crew points | From you, in the game | To run Friends and Crews |
| Chat messages you send in Friends chat lobbies and Crew chat, and players you block, mute or report | From you, in the game | To run chat and keep it safe. Messages are filtered for rude words and personal details |
| Kill Cam clips you choose to share to your crew: a short video of your battle and a thumbnail picture (they show robot names and your Game ID) | Recorded from the game itself (not your camera, microphone or screen) only when you tap to save or share | So your crew can watch them. Clips you save to your phone stay on your phone |
| Purchases: what you bought and Apple’s purchase confirmation | From Apple when you buy | To add what you bought to your account and stop fraud |
| Reports and help requests you send (including “Report a bug” and “Report an ad”), with your device type, game settings and last battle | From you | To fix problems and deal with reports |
| Device session ID, a random code made each time the game opens | Created by the game | So your account is only played on one device at a time |
| Settings such as sound, graphics and language | From you | So the game remembers them |
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera. The app only asks to add a video to your Photos when you choose to save a clip.
The iPhone app has a Free Reward button: if you choose to watch a short video ad, you get an in-game reward. Ads only play when you tap to watch one, never on their own and never during battles. The website version has no ads.
These ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects device information such as your IP address, device type, app usage and ad interactions and, only if you allow it when your iPhone asks (App Tracking Transparency), your device’s advertising identifier so ads can be matched to your interests. If you don’t allow tracking you still get the same rewards and see ads that aren’t based on your interests. In Europe, the UK and Switzerland (and US states with privacy laws) the app asks for your choices first using Google’s consent message, and you can change them at any time from Ad privacy choices in the Free Reward panel. You can also turn tracking off at any time in your iPhone’s Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. We pass AdMob a random code for each ad and your player ID so our server can check the ad was watched before giving the reward. Ads are limited to content suitable for teens, and we block ads for gambling, dating, alcohol and politics. You can tell us about a bad ad with Report an ad in the Free Reward panel. How Google uses this information: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
To keep 1v1 battles fast, the game may connect your device directly to your opponent’s device (peer-to-peer). When this happens your device’s IP address is shared with your opponent’s device, as with most online games. Battle data sent this way is only robot positions and controls. If a direct connection isn’t possible, battle data goes through our server instead.
The game runs on Google Firebase (Google LLC): Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Cloud Firestore and Realtime Database for saving data, Cloud Storage for crew clips, Cloud Functions for the game’s server rules, and Firebase Hosting. Google processes this data on our behalf, on servers that may be outside your country (including Australia, Singapore and the United States). Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Apple handles Sign in with Apple and all App Store payments; Apple’s privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy. Google handles Google sign-in and ads as described above.
The only third parties that receive personal data are the services named in this policy (Google Firebase, Google AdMob and Apple, plus Google sign-in on the web and Android). We only use services that protect your data to the same standard as this policy and their own published privacy terms, and only for the purposes described here. We don’t sell your information or share it with anyone else, except where required by law.
In the iPhone app, purchases are made through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment and we receive a confirmation of what you bought so we can add it to your account; we never see your card or bank details. Purchases are tied to your game account, so they are there when you sign in on another device. Gems and coins never expire and have no cash value.
You can delete your account and all your data at any time:
Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in, robots, progress, friends, crew membership, chat messages, clips and cup entries from our servers straight away, and revokes the game’s Sign in with Apple link. Google’s own backups and logs may take up to 30 days to clear. Purchases can’t be restored after an account is deleted.
All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Your progress can only be changed by the game’s server, and each player can only read their own private data.
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (for example under the Australian Privacy Act, the GDPR or US state privacy laws), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us and we’ll respond within 30 days.
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the game.
